Mit knapp 25 Jahren kam ich als junger Elektroingenieur mit dem Wunsch ins Tessin, Italienisch zu lernen \u2013 aber daraus wurde mehr. Per Zufall fanden meine Frau und ich in Contone, abseits vom Dorf, ein Haus mit viel Umschwung . Anfangs hatten wir selber nur einige Merlot-St\u00f6cke und eine grosse Pergola am Haus. Daraus ergaben sich etwa 60 Flaschen Wein pro Jahr. Mit dem Interesse und der Leidenschaft wuchs auch langsam die Produktion. Bis 2005 war es eine halbe Hektare, dann wurden es bald 1,5 und ab 2010 waren es schon 4,5 Hektaren. Dies entspricht etwa 25000 Rebst\u00f6cke (75% Merlot, 20% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% andere Sorten), in mehr als 20 verschiedenen Rebbergen. Sie befinden sich zu 2\/3 in steiler Hanglage und zu 1\/3 in der Ebene.<\/p>\n

Als Quereinsteiger und Autodidakt machte ich 2010 mein \u00abHobby\u00bb zum Beruf. Klingt nach Ausstieg!\u00a0 Es war aber, wenn man die wirklich strenge Handarbeit in den teils schwierig zug\u00e4nglichen Rebbergen, die Investitionen im Weinberg und im Keller, die Weinproduktion, Verkauf und Marketing miteinbezieht, eine grosse Herausforderung f\u00fcr mich und ein Neuanfang. Die sch\u00f6ne Natur in und um die Rebberge gibt mir viel Motivation und ich m\u00f6chte, dass diese alten Rebberge Contone erhalten bleiben \u00a0um zu zeigen,\u00a0 welch guter Wein daraus entstehen kann, das ist mein Ansporn. Unsere Aufgabe sehe ich darin, mit Sorgfalt und Achtung vor der Natur, mit unserer\u00a0 Arbeit das Bestm\u00f6gliche aus diesen alten Rebbergen zu holen.<\/p>\n

Die Weinberge<\/h2>\n

Die meisten Reben (2\/3) sind oberhalb Contone am Hang des Monte Ceneri, welcher das Tessin teilt (Sopraceneri\/Sottoceneri ). In diesen Rebbergen wird Merlot seit seiner Ankunft im Tessin, also seit mehr als hundert Jahren gepflanzt und bearbeitet. Die verschiedenen Rebberge habe ich mit dem Vornamen meiner Vorg\u00e4nger benannt. (Hugo, Aldo, Fausto, Franco, Giorgio, Edi, Francesco, Paolo, Pierino, Adriano und Gianni). In Gerra Piano und Agarone sind zwei weitere Rebberge am S\u00fcdhang. Nur etwa 1\/3 der Reben sind in Contone in der Ebene (Urs, Leoni, Ennio und Paese).<\/p>\n

Der Weinkeller<\/h2>\n

Bis und mit 2012 konnte ich aus Platzmangel nur einen Rotwein, den Dopo Mezzanotte, keltern. Seit 2013 befindet sich der Keller in der Via Cantonale 42 in Contone. Hier im Centro Profi, bin ich \u00a0gut eingerichtet und die grossz\u00fcgigen R\u00e4umlichkeiten sind klimatisiert, \u00a0um die Weine optimal keltern und ausbauen zu k\u00f6nnen. Hier kann ich G\u00e4ste empfangen, um meine Weine zu pr\u00e4sentieren, Ap\u00e9ro- und Degustationsessen anbieten und kleinere Musik- und Kulturanl\u00e4sse durchf\u00fchren.<\/p>\n

Wir sind ein Team und es gibt keine Arbeit die wichtiger ist als eine andere, z.B. Gras mit dem R\u00fcckenm\u00e4her schneiden, Laubarbeit an den 25.000 Reben, strenge Waldarbeit, spritzen mit 20kg auf dem R\u00fccken, Traktor und Raupenfahrzeuge im schwierigen Gel\u00e4nde zu fahren, sind die Vorausetzung um den \u00a0Wein im Keller mit aller Sorgfalt und Liebe zu begleiten, abzuf\u00fcllen, etikettieren und daf\u00fcr zu schauen, dass \u201eunser Wein\u201c Ihnen und uns Freude macht. Das Ganze zusammen und miteinander, w\u00e4hrend der Weinlese auch noch mit viel Fremdhilfe, ist der Schl\u00fcssel f\u00fcr ein optimales Ergebnis.<\/p>\n
